Kolva uses the following categories of cookies:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
• Authentication token: Identifies your session after login (400-day expiry for PWA persistent login)
• CSRF token: Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
• Supabase session: Manages your authenticated session with our database
• Consent cookie: Remembers your cookie preferences
Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization:
• Language preference: Remembers your selected language (FR, EN, ES, DE)
• Theme preference: Remembers your dark/light mode selection
• Sidebar state: Remembers whether the navigation sidebar is expanded or collapsed
• Last visited page: Returns you to where you left off
• Notification preferences: Stores your push notification settings
Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how the Service is used:
• Error tracking: Captures application errors for debugging (no personal data)
• Performance metrics: Page load times, API response times
• Feature usage: Which features are used most frequently (anonymized)
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers.

IndexedDB and Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Kolva uses browser storage technologies for our Progressive Web App (PWA):
IndexedDB:
• Offline data cache: Stores your recent visits, clients, and products for offline access
• Sync queue: Queues actions taken while offline for synchronization when back online
• Media cache: Stores photos and attachments for offline viewing
Local Storage:
• User preferences: Theme, language, display settings
• UI state: Table sort orders, filter selections, collapsed sections
• Push notification subscription: FCM token for push notifications
These storage mechanisms are local to your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly synced (e.g., offline queue synchronization).

Third-Party Cookies
Kolva minimizes the use of third-party cookies:
• Stripe: Payment processing cookies when accessing billing pages (subject to Stripe's cookie policy)
• No advertising cookies
• No social media tracking pixels
• No cross-site tracking
We do not participate in any advertising networks or sell data to advertisers.

Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through:
Browser Settings:
• Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies in settings
• You can set your browser to block all cookies or only third-party cookies
• Note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from using the Service
In-App Settings:
• Functional and performance cookies can be managed through your Kolva account settings
• You can clear your offline cache through the app settings
Clearing Data:
• To fully clear Kolva data from your device: clear cookies, local storage, and IndexedDB through your browser's developer tools or settings
• On mobile (PWA): uninstalling the app will clear all local data

Cookie Retention
Cookie lifespans vary by purpose:
• Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
• Authentication cookie: 400 days (for PWA persistent login, can be cleared by logging out)
• Preference cookies: 1 year
• Consent cookie: 1 year
• Performance cookies: 90 days
• IndexedDB data: Persists until manually cleared or app uninstalled
